Hair Extensions Courses

All our hair extension courses take place at our fully equipped, working Salon in Harrogate or, if preferred, we can travel to your Salon for groups of three or more.


We keep class sizes small (max five students) so you get focused, expert training with the support you need to succeed.


All courses include: Training Manual, 'get you started' kit and accreditation and certification (once successfully completed).



Intro to Hair Extensions

  • Three Hour In-Person Session
  • Max 5 Attendees
  • Harrogate or Your Salon

This three-hour session is perfect for stylists who want to learn more about hair extensions before committing to full training. 

You'll get a hands-on introduction to the basics, including hair suitability, extension types, and application methods.


You'll also learn about the life cycle of hair extensions, what's involved for both the salon and the client and whether extensions are the right fit for your business.


If you decide to continue your training £50 will be deducted from your full course fee.

Hair Extensions Course

  • Two-Day Hands on Training*
  • Max 5 Attendees
  • Harrogate or your Salon

This two-day, in-person course is for qualified hair professionals (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) who want to start offering hair extensions with confidence. 


You'll get hands-on training, expert guidance and full course accreditation.


What You'll Learn:


Hair types, textures and what works best for different clients, to include colour matching and hair extensions methods.


Expertly decide the right extensions and method suitable for your client.


Confidently and safely fit hair extensions in your client's hair and advise of ongoing maintenance and aftercare.


The Course Will Cover:


  • Assess suitability, contradictions and managing expectations - addressing when a service cannot be carried out.
  • Maintaining clean, safe and professional working practices.
  • Client consultations.
  • Apply extensions professionally while maintaining hair and scalp health.
  • Advise clients on how to care for their extensions and keep them looking their best, to include in-salon maintenance programe.

Application Methods:


  • Tape Extensions -  Including standard tapes, invisible tapes, and single-sided tapes.
  • Micro Rings - a secure method with no heat or glue; and
  • Nano Rings - a lightweight, discreet option, perfect for fine hair.

*the two day training must be completed within three months from the start date.

Hair Extensions Specialist Course

  • Three-Day Hands on Training*
  • Max 5 Attendees
  • Harrogate or your Salon

This three-day, in-person course is for qualified hair professionals (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) who want to start offering hair extensions with confidence. 


Our Hair Extension Specialist Course includes all of the elements from the Hair Extensions Course AND:



Application Methods:


  • Weft Extensions, 
  • Keratin Bonds; and 
  • Combination Methods.  

Specialist Services:


  • Understand how extensions work alongside cutting, colouring, and styling.
  • Learn how to carry out salon services for hair extension wearing clients.
  • Troubleshooting and remedies - for example; colour discolouration, fitting issues/slippage, matting, drying, appropriate treatments.  Tackle these before they become a problem.

Working With Hair Extensions


  • One-Day Hands on Training
  • Max 5 Attendees
  • Harrogate or your Salon

This one-day, in-person course is for qualified hair professionals (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) who want to start working with hair extensions with confidence. 


Designed for hair salon employees and/or self-employed stylists who want to gain insight and build  their confidence in carrying out salon services for hair extension wearers.


The course covers:


  • Identifying methods of hair extensions.
  • The cycle of hair extensions and maintenance.
  • Risks to you of carrying out the service.
  • Blow-drying services with hair extensions.
  • Toning hair extensions 
  • Helping clients with discolouration (even where they're not 'your' extensions).
  • Colouring services around hair extensions, including bleach services.
  • Offering treatments for hair extensions wearers.
  • Cutting in preperation for hair extensions being fitted and/or with them fitted.
  • At home aftercare.
